RIBBON CUTTING CEREMONY FOR 1ST EVER WOMEN'S VETERAN TRANSITIONAL HOME IN SOUTH CAROLINA

On Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at 11 am - there will be a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for the 1st ever Women's Transitional Home in the entire state of South Carolina.

Currently in the entire state of South Carolina there is nothing for women veterans who have served our country. Of course you know Spartanburg has just a few shelters for women who are pregnant or victims of domestic violence, but nothing for veterans. It is time we get our women who have served in our military, off of the streets. We have a long waiting list for this need right here in the Upstate. Operation Rehabilitation has answered the call. As pioneers, we have purchased a home solely and specifically for women veterans who are homeless or facing homelessness right here in Spartanburg. We are able to help four women at a time to get off of the streets, into this transitional home with provided case management services, and ultimately - into permanent housing.

Our Women's Transitional house is centrally located on the east side of Spartanburg. It is on the Rail Trail, bus line, walkable to restaurants, and minutes to downtown. We will be open to our first residents on Monday, February 1st.

Contact Travelle Moseley, President of Operation Rehabilitation, at 864-564-3943 or tmoseley@operationrehabilitation.org for Media Relations, Support, or any other information needed.
